She may be a small town girl, but when Tiffany Manning steps onstage.. others beware! This small town wife and mother has made a major impact in every show she has competed in and more recently the 2014 Emerald Cup with two class wins and the Masters Overall! Tiffany now has her sights set on the Masters Nationals and we really believe that she could walk away with a coveted IFBB Pro Card and bring that back home to show everyone at the next backyard kegger as she puts it!

1. When and why did you decide to start competing?
It all started 3 yrs ago. 3 months from my baby sisters 21st birthday trip to Vegas, I decided to loose the infamous 10lbs! Well, I accomplished this through clean eating and working out.  So one day as I was in my local Max Muscle Store replenishing my supplements, the dude behind the counter asked what show I was training for? I giggled and said I'm not but I've always wanted to compete! To make a long story short, he gave me my current coaches card. That next week I was in full prep for the 2011 Oregon Ironman. I placed 4th! I have since competed every year at least 3 time per year including NATIONAL shows.  I have placed top 5 in all but 3 and have 2 OVERALLs!

2. What makes you want to go farther in the sport?
Being from a tiny town, its pretty typical that we marry our high school (in my case grade school) sweetheart, Drink beer in back shops, and blame our weight gain on our newborns! (who will turn 9 this year!)  Don't get me wrong I still love a good bonfire kegger, but I want to break the mold!

3. What type of training do you implement during contest prep and the in the off-season?
I've never been a cardio bunny, but then again who is? I tend to lift heavy most of the time and practice drop sets, plyos, and sprints when leaning out. Sorry I'm not reinventing the wheel here!

4. What is your favorite type of dieting meals and what is your favorite type of cheat meal?
I don't think of my prep meals as "diet" food because I eat this way as a lifestyle choice.  I know, I know boo answer! So if I Have to choose one, it would be the beautiful sweet potato! So versatile in cooking, yet Delish in the raw!  NOW for the cheat food, I'm rarely tortured by food. But if you want to see the look of pure deprivation then take me to the movie theater and eat POPCORN in front of me!  AND I'll delete you from my friends list!

5. Who are some of the people that have helped you along the way to get where you are now in life or in the sport?
There is a village of people that have contributed to my life and in this sport! So to name a few, My husband Corey is first.  He is my biggest fan and supporter! Anyone in this field knows the highs and lows emotionally and physically.  What and who you have at home can make or break you. My Trainer, coach, and Friend Kristina Tjernlund has been by my side from day 1! Her continuous motivation, skill, and belief in me is unmatched!  My Team leaders Derek Kaneshiro and Kiana Phi of TEAM DREAMQUEST selflessly devote their time and experience to perfecting posing, and stage presence.  I owe so much respect and gratitude for these supper heroes!

6. Who or what inspires you to strive for more in the sport?
Get out your tissues for this one!  No, but seriously my Children inspire me to keep reaching for higher goals.  How can I truly teach them the meaning of "you can do, be, accomplish anything you set your mind and heart to" if I don't lead by example.  Not to mention the health benefits they are getting from growing up around fitness and nutrition! But don't think I don't hear "Chicken Aaaagain MOM? aaaaah"

7. What is next for you as a competitor?
The next stop for this freight train is Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh PA!  Where I will earn my PRO status "wink, wink" and visit the REACTION NUTRITION head quarters to show my sponsors some love!

8. What is your favorite memory good or bad while prepping or competing?
I have many favorite memories of competing, but a not so pleasant one would be from last years NPC national show in Fort Lauderdale FL.  I was one of the first to register, check in, get heighted and all that jazz.  Right before walking on stage they handed out our number pins.  My turn came to get my pin and..... I WASN'T ON THE LIST! (insert panic attack here)  So after I stood there smiling on the outside but BALING on the inside for what seemed like foooooreverrrrr! Finally a pin magically appeared with some random number on it, they hand wrote my name on the list and slapped me at the very end of over 50 girls! whaaaah (Yes that's me Whining)!  I did not place at that show, but had an amazing time on stage and in Florida!

9. Any website you would like to plug, facebook, twitter, personal site, etc...
I’m on Facebook, and I am also on Twitter and Instagram

10. Anything you would like to say to all the visitors to NPC Oregon?

Some people think I'm going crazy. The jokes on them, I went there years ago, fell in love with the place and decided to stay!
