Divisions & Classes

Below is a breakdown of Divisions & Classes offered during any NPC Oregon event.

.: DIVISIONS
Divisions are based on the type of physique based on set standards. If you would like to know more about the difference in divisions... click on the division rules above in the menu.
 
Divisions for Men:
  • Bodybuilding - broke down by weight

  • Men's Classic Physique - broke down by height & weight

  • Men's Physique - broke down by height

.: CLASSES
Classes are the different groups an athlete can compete in within a specific division. We offer many different classes for all divisions.
 
Juniors
  • This class is for athletes between the ages of 18 and 23 years of age. Must be over 18 to compete.

Masters
  • These classes are for athletes between that are the same age or older in any of the Masters classes offered such as 35+, 40+, 50+, and 60+

  • You can compete in multiple Masters classes as long as your age is qualifies. Example, you can compete in 35+, 40+ and 50+ if you are 51 years old.

Hero
  • This class is to honor athlete that are Police, Fire, Military (active or Veteran), EMT, and Medical First Responders.

  • You can be active or retired but must list occupation when registering and show proof of ID.

True Novice
  • This class is for athletes that have never competed in a NPC event. Does not matter which division or if you have competed in a different division in the past. You can only compete in True Novice your very first NPC show.

 
Novice
  • This class is for a competitor that has not have placed Top 10 at a National Show or won an Overall (this includes Novice, Masters, or Open Overalls)

  • Also a competitor must not have won an Open Class with 3 or more competitors in the class.

Open
  • These classes are broken down into Weight or Height classes depending on the division. Anyone can compete in the open as long as they are over the age of 18.

  • In order to qualify for a NPC National competition to earn IFBB Pro status, an athlete must place 1st or 2nd in their Open class.
